Privacy Policy for Pixo

Pixo (“the app”) is operated by Pixel Pro Academy for its enrolled students. This policy explains what information the app collects and how it’s used.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

1.1 App / Account Information

Account info: your name and registered phone number, used to verify your identity via OTP.

Learning activity: course progress, exam attempts and scores, XP, streaks, and badges.

Messages: chat messages and attachments (images, video, voice notes, files) you send in Batch Chat.

Device data: a push-notification token (Firebase Cloud Messaging) so we can send you class reminders and notifications.

App preferences: whether you’ve enabled fingerprint login (stored only on your device; we never see your fingerprint itself, which stays inside your phone’s secure hardware).

1.2 Payment & Billing Information

When you enroll in a paid course or make a payment (including via EMI/installment options), we and our payment partner collect:

Billing details: name, email address, phone number, and billing address, as required to generate invoices and process payment.

Transaction details: amount paid, course/product purchased, payment date, payment method (card, UPI, netbanking, wallet, or EMI), and transaction/order ID.

EMI-specific information: if you choose an EMI (Equated Monthly Instalment) option, our payment gateway partner and its affiliated banks/NBFCs may collect additional information (such as card details or basic KYC information) directly, solely to assess EMI eligibility and process instalments. This information is collected and processed by the payment gateway and lending partner under their own privacy and security policies, not stored by us.
We do not collect or store your full card number, CVV, UPI PIN, net-banking password, or any other sensitive payment credential.All such data is captured directly by our PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway partner, Razorpay, and is never transmitted to or stored on our servers.

2. HOW WE USE INFORMATION

We use this information solely to operate our Services:

Authenticating you and securing your account.

Tracking your course progress and running the leaderboard.

Delivering Batch Chat messages to your classmates and teachers.

Sending you class, exam, and payment-related notifications.

Processing course fee payments, including one-time payments and EMI instalments.

Generating receipts/invoices and maintaining financial records required for accounting, tax, and regulatory compliance.

Verifying EMI eligibility and coordinating with the payment gateway and lending partner to complete EMI transactions.
Preventing fraud and resolving payment disputes or chargebacks.

3. SHARING OF INFORMATION

We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for advertising purposes.

Messages sent in Batch Chat are visible to other students and teachers in your batch, as in any classroom chat.

We use Firebase (Google) and Cloudflare purely as infrastructure to run the app.

We use Razorpay as our payment gateway to process course fee payments, including EMI options. Razorpay may share necessary transaction data with issuing banks, NBFCs, and card networks solely to process your payment and, where applicable, your EMI request. Razorpay’s handling of your payment data is governed by Razorpay’s own privacy policy.

We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, court order, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Pixel Pro Academy, our students, or the public.
We do not share your payment or billing data with any party for marketing purposes.

4. DATA RETENTION

We retain your account and learning data for as long as you remain enrolled, plus a reasonable period afterward for academic records.

We retain transaction and billing records (excluding sensitive card/payment credentials, which we never store) for as long as required under applicable Indian tax, accounting, and financial regulations — typically up to 8 years from the date of transaction.

5. YOUR CHOICES

You can turn off fingerprint login at any time from Profile settings.

To request deletion of your account and personal data, contact us at [hello@pixelproacademy.in](mailto:hello@pixelproacademy.in). Note that certain transaction records may be retained as required by law even after account deletion.

6. DATA SECURITY

We use industry-standard security measures, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), to protect your information. Payment processing is handled by Razorpay, a PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant payment gateway, ensuring your payment details are processed securely and are never stored on our servers.

7. CHILDREN

Pixo is intended for students aged 13 and older. If you are under 18, we recommend that a parent or guardian review this policy and supervise any course enrollment or payment activity, including EMI applications, which may require the applicant to be a consenting adult as per the lending partner’s eligibility criteria.
